RASC News Agency: A senior official from the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has alleged that foreign terrorists are being trained under the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. These militants, he claimed, use Afghanistani passports to infiltrate other countries and carry out attacks. Ali Maisam Nazary, the Head of Foreign Relations for the National Resistance Front, stated on Saturday, January 15, via the social media platform X, that foreign terrorists are actively operating in Afghanistan and receiving training directly facilitated by the Taliban.
Nazary highlighted that the Taliban often deflect responsibility for their actions by attributing them to ISIS, while simultaneously asserting that they do not export terrorism. However, he underscored that Afghanistani passports have been repeatedly used by terrorists to plan and execute attacks on foreign soil. He called upon the global community, particularly the United States, to recognize this deliberate tactic by the Taliban and to remain aware that Afghanistan, under the Taliban’s control, has become a central hub for terrorism. Nazary also emphasized the Taliban’s support for various extremist factions. He cited the case of Tajik militants claiming to be affiliated with ISIS, who were identified in Los Angeles and Philadelphia earlier in 2024. According to him, these militants had received training in Afghanistan under the Taliban’s protection.
These accusations align with claims by the Resistance Front that Ansarullah, a militant group opposing the Tajik government, is being harbored and supported by the Taliban within Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Mullah Abdul Kabir, the Taliban’s Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, recently announced progress in political relations with Tajikistan. On Friday, Kabir stated that while the Afghanistan embassy in Tajikistan has not yet been transferred to Taliban control, trade relations between the two countries are ongoing, and political dialogue is advancing.
Notably, Tajikistan has yet to recognize the Taliban as Afghanistan’s legitimate governing authority, maintaining its stance of non-recognition amidst ongoing regional tensions.
