Afghanistan Freedom Front Claims Responsibility for Killing Three Taliban Members in Attack on Bagram Airfield

RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) has reported that its forces launched a targeted assault on Bagram Airfield in Parwan Province, resulting in the deaths of three Taliban members and injuries to two others. In an official statement, the AFF disclosed that the operation was carried out yesterday evening Thursday, November 21, and specifically targeted the “protective checkpoint at the fourth entrance gate” of Bagram Airfield.

The statement further identified one of the deceased as Mullah Zakir, who served as the deputy commander of the checkpoint. As of now, Taliban officials in Parwan have not provided any comment on the incident. This attack marks yet another operation by anti-Taliban forces on Bagram Airfield. Previously under the control of U.S. forces before the collapse of the former Afghanistan government, Bagram Airfield is now a key base for the Taliban and houses the group’s special military units.

The AFF also recently claimed responsibility for an attack on the military section of Kabul International Airport, stating that several Taliban members were killed during the operation. In addition, anti-Taliban groups have accused the Taliban of detaining, torturing, and prosecuting hundreds of Afghanistani citizens, particularly former security personnel, transferring them to Bagram prison and other detention facilities.

Over the past three years, anti-Taliban factions have repeatedly carried out attacks against the group, inflicting significant casualties. The National Resistance Front (NRF) has stated that it conducted more than 17 operations against the Taliban in the past month alone.
