Kamala Harris: The Taliban is a Terrorist Organization

RASC News Agency: Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States and the Democratic presidential candidate, has described the Taliban as a “terrorist organization.” Harris made these comments on Tuesday, September 10th, during a televised debate with former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.

Harris reiterated her support for President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan, stating that it resulted in American forces being absent from combat for the first time in a century. She criticized Trump for negotiating with the Taliban, labeling the group as a “terrorist organization” and noting that Trump had even invited its leaders to Camp David.

Trump, in the debate, defended his negotiations with the Taliban, claiming that his objective was to prevent the group from targeting U.S. troops. Harris, however, condemned the Biden administration’s “disastrous” withdrawal from Afghanistan as the “most disgraceful” military exit in U.S. history.

The issue of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and the subsequent Taliban takeover has become a central topic in the election campaign, with both parties leveraging it to strengthen their political platforms.
