Trump: No One Was Fired or Held Accountable for the Disastrous Afghanistan Withdrawal

RASC News Agency: Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump sharply criticized current Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s nominee, over the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, pointing out that no official has been dismissed or held accountable for the failure. Trump made these remarks during a debate hosted by ABC Television in the early hours of Wednesday, September 11, (Afghanistan time).

During the debate, Trump directly addressed Harris, stating that despite the death of 13 American soldiers during the chaotic withdrawal, “not a single responsible official has been dismissed or punished.” He emphasized: “If I were president, the war in Ukraine would never have happened, and Iran wouldn’t be financing 21 terrorist organizations. Under my leadership, Iran was completely isolated.”

Trump further accused the Democratic Party of acting against Israel, Arabs, and the broader Middle East. He warned, “If Democrats remain in power for another two years, there will be no Israel left.” Trump had previously condemned President Biden in a June debate for his “incompetence,” particularly regarding the Afghanistan exit and the deaths of American soldiers.

In addition to ceding control of Afghanistan to the Taliban, Trump highlighted that the U.S. continues to send over $300 million per month in military and civilian support to the Taliban regime. Afghanistan has now become a pivotal issue in the U.S. presidential race, with candidates using the topic as leverage in their political attacks on each other.
