RASC News Agency: Local sources report that at least 13 people have been killed and several others injured in a suicide bombing in Kabul. Meanwhile, Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s police command in Kabul, stated that this evening’s suicide bombing Monday, September 2nd, on Darulaman Road resulted in the deaths of six people, including one woman, and injured 13 others.

It appears that the Taliban are concealing the actual number of fatalities. The Taliban spokesperson added in a message on X that the explosion occurred in the “Qala-e-Bakhtiar” area and was caused by explosives carried by an individual. The Taliban’s police command spokesperson mentioned that all the victims are civilians. According to him, the injured have been taken to the hospital, and an investigation into the attack has been launched.

Earlier, sources within the Taliban confirmed that the explosion was the result of a suicide attack. Sources indicate that the target of the explosion was the employees and visitors of the Taliban’s Directorate for the Enforcement of Decrees and Orders. According to these sources, the death toll from this attack is higher than what the Taliban have announced. One source estimates the number of dead to be at least 13.

So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for this explosion. In the past, ISIS has claimed responsibility for several attacks against the Taliban. Since the Taliban took control of the country, ISIS has intensified its attacks, frequently targeting the Taliban. Last month, in an attack in Nangarhar, six Taliban members were killed.
