RASC News Agency: Sources report that unidentified gunmen attacked a vehicle carrying employees from various Taliban departments, resulting in at least seven deaths and multiple injuries. On Friday, August 2, sources informed the media that the incident occurred the previous Wednesday when gunmen opened fire on an “International Seatdar” vehicle belonging to the Taliban in the Qala-e Haider Khan market area of Paghman district.

According to sources, the targeted vehicle was transporting at least 30 employees from several civilian departments of the Taliban, en route to Maidan Wardak. The sources indicated that those killed in the attack were employees of local Taliban offices in Maidan Wardak province, although specific departmental details were not provided. Eyewitnesses reported that four armed assailants launched the attack, resulting in the death of one attacker by Taliban gunfire, while the fate of the remaining attackers remains unknown.

Local Taliban authorities have yet to comment on the incident, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. According to sources, the bodies of two victims have been transferred to Maidan Wardak province, while the injured are being treated at Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital. This attack is considered one of the deadliest assaults on Taliban civilian employees this year, with the perpetrators still unidentified.
