RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has reported that its forces recently launched a strategic assault on members of the Taliban in Baghlan province, as part of their ongoing operations against the group. According to a communique issued by the Resistance Front on Saturday, July 27, the attack occurred in the Khwaja area of Khost district in Baghlan.
The communique detailed that the operation resulted in the death of Qari Mukhtar, a prominent Taliban commander, while two other members of the group sustained injuries. The Resistance Front asserted that none of its personnel were harmed during the operation. However, local Taliban authorities in Baghlan have yet to provide any comments on the incident. Reports indicate a notable surge in attacks by anti-Taliban forces, causing significant casualties among Taliban members across various provinces in recent times.
In the latest instance, the National Resistance Front claimed that they launched attacks on Taliban positions in the provinces of Ghor and Kabul, with occasional reports of inflicting casualties on the group. Since the Taliban’s seizure of power, they have imposed increasingly stringent restrictions on the daily lives and activities of citizens. In response to these oppressive measures, various resistance fronts have declared their opposition and initiated actions against the regime.
