RASC News Agency: Local sources in Ghor province report that individuals affiliated with Abdul Aleem Sadaqat and Abdul Qayum Ruhani, two members of the Taliban intelligence, have brutally beaten a man and his two sons over a legal dispute. Sources revealed that at least 12 Taliban members attacked the home of Mir Ahmad on the night of Tuesday, July 9th, and subsequently assaulted him and his two sons. The incident occurred in the “Ghalmin” area, part of the Firozkoh district, the capital of Ghor.
According to the sources, Mir Ahmad had a legal dispute with the cousin of one of the Taliban intelligence members. They added that Mir Ahmad regained consciousness after two days. Local Taliban authorities in Ghor have yet to comment on the matter. This incident is not isolated; Taliban fighters frequently assault citizens. Late last month, Taliban intelligence fighters also beat and imprisoned a resident of Khost who had previously served as a border police officer under the former government.
Since the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, arbitrary arrests, undocumented beatings, and numerous instances of torture have become commonplace. The Taliban have detained and tortured many individuals without evidence. These actions have repeatedly been criticized by international and human rights organizations. However, the Taliban persist in their violent practices. Arbitrary arrests, torture, and beatings of citizens by the Taliban are increasing daily.
