RASC News Agency: Local sources have reported incidents of drowning during water activities in the provinces of Panjshir and Badghis. According to reports, three individuals, including a member of the Taliban, lost their lives in drowning incidents in the waters of Badghis and Panjshir provinces. The Taliban security commander in Badghis confirmed the drowning of a 17-year-old boy who fell into the water in the third security district of Qala-e-Naw city.

Similarly, a 29-year-old man drowned during water activities in the Balamorghab district. Sources from Panjshir province also confirmed the death of a Taliban member in a river. Taliban authorities in Panjshir additionally reported the drowning of an Iranian tourist, identified locally as a Taliban member, during water activities last Friday morning.

Meanwhile, sources from Parian district in Panjshir reported the drowning of Homayoun, a resident of Qalah-Parian village, during water activities. Last week, two more individuals drowned in the Panjshir river. With the onset of the hot season, there has been an increase in drowning incidents in water bodies across the provinces.

Most of the victims are young people who engage in swimming activities in rivers. Sources from Panjshir province noted that the water levels in the province’s rivers triple during the hot season, posing risks of drowning to individuals swimming.

It is worth noting that swimming is a popular recreational activity in this province, with many young people engaging in it during the cold season in various areas.
