RASC News Agency: The United Nations Women in Afghanistan stated that Afghanistani women’s voices should be heard directly. The United Nations made this statement on Wednesday, April 24, in a message commemorating the “International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace” on the social media platform X.

According to the organization, “Every multilateral actor is urged to create spaces where Afghanistani women’s voices are directly heard and to provide financial support for Afghanistani women.” Since the Taliban took control of the country, they have extensively violated human rights, particularly the rights of women and girls, depriving them of their fundamental entitlements.

In its recent annual report, the U.S. Department of State noted that the human rights situation in Afghanistan, particularly women’s rights, has deteriorated and they will not recognize the Taliban. Throughout their more than two years of rule in the country, the Taliban have imposed increasingly restrictive edicts on the lives of citizens, especially women and girls.
