Taliban-Linked Militants Destroy Cable Bridge in Alam Ali Village, Doshi District

RASC News Agency: Sources from Doshi district in Baghlan province have informed RASC News Agency that militants linked to the Taliban have demolished a cable bridge in Alam Ali village, constructed under the Agha Khan project, and relocated its materials to their own territories. These sources emphasize that the cable bridge, completed in 1387 (Solar Hijri calendar) under the Agha Khan project, effectively resolved transportation challenges for residents on both sides of the river.

It has been reported that similar crucial infrastructure projects, like the Shalizar Heavyweight Bridge and others serving the critical needs of communities in Alam Ali, Babji, and Siaqoul payeen and Gaztoghi villages, were promptly constructed by the Agha Khan Foundation and put into operation. Both bridges were actively utilized simultaneously.

Sources disclose that recently, militants affiliated with the Taliban group Larkhab carried out nighttime operations to dismantle this cable bridge and relocate its components to their own areas. This incident raises concerns as the Taliban claim to ensure security in Afghanistan, yet a significant bridge in a village was destroyed without any pursuit or interrogation of the perpetrators.
