RASC News Agency: Local sources in Paktika province report that a 14-year-old teenager was recently killed by members of the Taliban’s intelligence personnel in the province. Sources told the media on Sunday, April 28, that the Taliban intelligence forces had arrested the teenager last Friday in the village of Ghat in Wazi Khwa district.

According to the sources, the teenager, named Mohammad Rafiq, was shot and killed inside the Taliban intelligence department building in the district. Sources added that Rafiq was severely wounded in the abdomen and later died after being taken to the hospital in Khairkot district.

The Taliban have yet to comment on the reason and circumstances surrounding the teenager’s death. Violent actions by the Taliban against citizens during their nearly three years of rule have not been uncommon, and reports of such incidents often emerge from various provinces.

In a separate incident, the body of a man was found near a Taliban base in Sharan, the capital of Paktika province, showing visible signs of beatings.
