National Resistance Council: The World Turns a Blind Eye to Taliban Atrocities and Seeks Engagement

RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan claims that the world has turned a blind eye to the severe oppression by the Taliban, ignoring their abuses and engaging with the group. Today, Saturday, April 27, the National Resistance Council issued a statement on their X page marking the 32nd anniversary of the Mujahideen’s victory over the Soviet invasion. The council called on political and military factions to launch a “broad resistance” against the Taliban.

The council believes that the current situation in the country is due to the “continuation of shameless foreign interventions, occupation, crisis, and historical oppression.” According to the council, Afghanistan under Taliban control is “more dangerous than the Soviet invasion and previous occupation.” The council emphasized that the Taliban do not believe in dialogue, and all political, military, and civil factions, along with the Afghanistani people, should begin resisting the group.

The council added: “The world has turned a blind eye to widespread oppression and terror, choosing to overlook Taliban atrocities while engaging with the group.” Previously, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan stated, on the occasion of April 27, that regional countries and the international community should end their “irresponsible and complacent” policies toward the Taliban.

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan stressed the need for the international community to stand with the Afghanistani people to prevent the “spread of international terrorism.”
