RASC News Agency: Quoting local sources from Badakhshan province, residents of this region have engaged in clashes over pastureland, resulting in nearly 30 injuries. Sources informed the media on Saturday, Apr 13, that the incident took place last Thursday evening between residents of Spin Gul and Nowabad-e Daneshmandan villages in the Argo district.
According to the sources, the altercation led to 26 injuries, with 13 individuals subsequently transferred to the provincial hospital in Fayzabad, Badakhshan. The health condition of four of the injured individuals has been reported as critical. Tensions erupted between residents of Nowabad-e Daneshmandan, a Tajik village, and Spin Gul village, inhabited by Pashtuns, as both groups sought to claim communal pastureland that had remained undivided since ancient times.
Sources indicate that both sides in the altercation resorted to using stones, sticks, and even weapons against each other. Local Taliban officials have verified this information and announced that a delegation has been dispatched to the area to ease the tension. Such incidents are not unprecedented; similar clashes have occurred in Badakhshan previously, leading to confrontations between local residents and nomadic Kuchis.
