RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Helmand province, six civilians have been wounded as a result of gunfire by Taliban municipal guards in the region. Sources informed the media on Monday, Apr 1, that the incident occurred yesterday in the Gereshk district of Helmand province.

According to the sources, Taliban municipal guards opened fire on civilians when they attempted to prevent the destruction of a wheat silo. Sources further state that the Taliban group intended to demolish this silo to widen the public road from Kandahar to Herat.

The Taliban group has not yet issued a statement regarding this incident. Additionally, yesterday, Taliban gunfire in Paktia injured four civilians. During their over two-year rule over the country, the Taliban group has repeatedly fired upon individuals who oppose their demands.
