RASC News Agency: According to a reliable source from the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, as a consequence of their assault on a Taliban checkpoint near the Arg, controlled by this faction, in Kabul city, seven Taliban members have been killed and injured. The source informed the media that this attack occurred around 7:45 PM on Thursday night, Mar 14, targeting a Taliban checkpoint near the Serena Hotel in Kabul city.
As per the source, this attack resulted in the death of five Taliban members and injuries to two others from the group. Following the attack, chaos ensued at the Serena Hotel, with some domestic and foreign guests evacuating the premises. Hotel residents have also confirmed the occurrence of the explosion. It is notable that the Serena Hotel is situated 50 meters from the Arg, controlled by the Taliban group, marking the first assault by opposing forces on this diplomatic and highly secured area.
Meanwhile, the National Resistance Front also asserted last night that its forces had launched attacks on two Taliban outposts in Kabul city, resulting in the fatalities and injuries of four members of the group. These reports come amid the Taliban’s persistent claims that since their assumption of power in the country, overall security prevails, and the lives and properties of the people are secure.
