RASC News Agency: Local sources from Kunduz Province report that, continuing a trend of mysterious and targeted killings, unidentified individuals have recently murdered a young man named Esmatullah in this province. Sources informed the media on Wednesday, Mar 13, that unknown assailants killed Esmatullah, who had recently returned from Iran, during the current week in the third district of Kunduz Province.

According to sources, the body of this young man was found near his home with his head severed by unknown individuals, and it has not yet been determined who killed him and for what reason. This occurs as the rate of criminal activities, particularly mysterious and targeted killings, as well as insecurity incidents, has unprecedentedly increased in various provinces of the country.

In one incident yesterday, unknown gunmen shot a man in Logar Province’s center, and in many such incidents, the perpetrators remain unidentified and have been left unaccounted for without any systematic investigation.

Insecurity incidents are escalating in various provinces of the country, while the Taliban group, following their takeover of the nation, has consistently asserted that nationwide security prevails and people’s lives and property are secure.
