RASC News Agency: Local sources from Parwan province have reported that the Taliban recently issued orders for 170 families in the village of “Qomghi,” situated on the outskirts of Sheikh Ali district in the Ghorband valley of this province, to vacate their homes. Sources informed the media on Monday, Mar 11, that hundreds of acres of agricultural land and residential houses belonging to the inhabitants of Sheikh Ali district, Parwan province, have been identified and registered under the name of “emirate” lands by the Taliban group.

According to sources, the Taliban group has notified local residents that the lands on which these houses and agricultural lands are situated belong to the government and must be reclaimed. Local residents assert that most of the agricultural lands and residential houses in Sheikh Ali district, including heritage properties, lack formal deeds, legal documents, or customary agreements. They argue that this action by the Taliban group constitutes “continued seizure of personal and public properties under the guise of emirate lands.”

This situation arises as thousands of acres of land and houses in various parts of the country have been registered and reclaimed by this group under the name of “emirate” lands following their control over the country. In one instance, residents of Panjshir recently alleged that the Taliban group intends to develop migrant settlements on people’s private lands in the Onaba district of this province.
