RASC News Agency: Following the recent forced expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from Iran, the Ministry of Migrants and Repatriations of the Taliban group has recently announced that 1,614 Afghanistani migrants were deported from Iran and have returned to their country overnight. The press office of the Ministry of Migrants and Repatriations of the Taliban group reported on Wednesday, Feb 14, the forced return of this number of migrants and stated that these migrants have re-entered the country through the Islam Qala-Herat border.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has indicated that out of this group of migrants, 457 individuals have been identified as in need and have been referred to the International Organization for Migration office for assistance, including food and non-food items. It is noteworthy that over the past few months, Iran and Pakistan have vigorously pursued the forced expulsion of Afghanistani refugees, resulting in the deportation of thousands of migrants from these two countries who have returned to Afghanistan.

It is important to acknowledge that concurrently with the Taliban’s control over Afghanistan, a substantial number of citizens have departed the country for various reasons and have immigrated to neighboring countries such as Iran and Pakistan.
