RASC News Agency: Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, responded to the former US president’s remarks made during an election rally regarding the sale of remaining US weapons in Afghanistan, stating that they refute this claim. According to Tolo News, yesterday, Feb 11, citing a Taliban spokesperson, it was reported that the leftover military equipment from foreign forces is fully accessible to the group, and they denied the allegation of its sale.

Mujahid further added: “The remaining US equipment is needed by the Taliban, and we ourselves require security and are in need of such armaments.” Donald Trump, the US presidential election nominee, recently stated at a campaign rally that the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan is the most shameful moment in the country’s history. Trump added that Afghanistan, under Taliban rule, is one of the biggest sellers of leftover American military hardware in Afghanistan.

According to Trump’s statements, $85 billion worth of equipment remains from the US in Afghanistan. Earlier, some traders claimed that the Taliban allowed them to sell equipment obtained from bases, but the Taliban has denied this claim.
