The Neglect of the Taliban Group to Protect the Band Amir Bamyan

RASC: According to public sources in Bamyan province, the local administration of the Taliban group in Bamyan does not care about the protection of Band Amir National Park.

These sources also complain about the indifference of the Taliban towards the surrounding area of this dam.

According to some pictures and videos sent to the media, Taliban members park their vehicles in areas where the movement of vehicles is prohibited.

It has been said that the waterfalls of Band Amir have turned into a car wash for the Taliban group.

Band Amir is the first national park of Afghanistan, which, with its special nature, thousands of domestic and foreign tourists travel there to visit.

The increase in tourists has caused the Taliban group to earn millions of Kabuli/Afghani rupees annually from Band Amir National Park, but they have no plan to protect and maintain this national park.
