RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Bel Chiragh district in Faryab Province, a man in this district hanged his 20-year-old daughter after severely beating her. Sources from Faryab Province informed the media on Monday, Feb 12, that this incident occurred yesterday in the village of Tughulmast in Bel Chiragh district of the province.

The daughter, according to sources, was married but engaged in an illicit relationship with another young man, which the father learned about through the daughter’s disclosure. Sources further assert that upon learning of his daughter’s situation, the father, driven by emotions, assaulted and subsequently murdered her. Local Taliban authorities have confirmed the hanging of this young woman and stated that their forces have detained the father of the daughter and another young man in connection with this incident.

This comes as similar incidents have occurred in several provinces before. In one such incident, according to media reports, a man recently murdered his young fiancee on charges of engaging in an illicit relationship in Takhar Province.
