RASC News Agency: Karen Decker, the Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy for Afghanistan, has recently asserted that America stands as the largest humanitarian donor to Afghanistan. Decker announced on Friday, Feb 9, on the X social network, that during their conversation, Indrika Ratwatte, the UNAMA deputy, underscored Washington’s robust support for the UN’s endeavors in Afghanistan.

Decker further elaborated, stating, “America remains the foremost humanitarian contributor, extending vital relief aid to the Afghanistan populace.” This revelation coincides with the severe repercussions on Afghanistan’s economy following the Taliban’s assumption of power, thereby heightening the populace’s reliance on international aid organizations.

It is noteworthy that notwithstanding over two years of Taliban governance in Afghanistan and the nation’s dire economic predicament, Afghanistan still awaits seven billion dollars in aid from Joe Biden, the President of the United States.
