RASC News Agency: Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Political Chief of the Taliban, has recently asserted that Afghanistan is presently not embroiled in “ethnic,” “factional,” or “linguistic” conflicts, underlining the prevalence of “unity” and “brotherhood” nationwide. These remarks were articulated by the Deputy Political Chief of the Taliban on Saturday, Feb 10, during a session titled “International Summit for Regional Change” in Nangarhar province.

He further declared, “No one will ever be permitted to take the slightest action against the governance of this group. Neither will foreigners be allowed to infringe upon Afghanistan’s sovereignty and harm both Afghanistan and the Taliban regime, nor will Afghanistanis who collude against this group with servitude and foreign actions.” According to him, the political and diplomatic engagements of nations in Kabul and reciprocally, along with the initiation of trade relations, signify the acknowledgment of the Taliban group’s regime by countries.

The Deputy Political Chief of the Taliban articulates these assertions while the group itself has faced accusations of “linguistic and cultural discrimination” in Afghanistan since its ascendancy in the country. Throughout their over two-year rule, the Taliban group has severely suppressed non-Pashtun ethnicities and currently, Pashtuns occupy most key positions in their regime.
