RASC News Agency: According to reports from Pakistani media, General Asim Munir, the Chief of Staff of the country’s army, issued a warning to the Taliban group and emphasized the importance of Pakistani lives over the entirety of Afghanistan. The Express Tribune reported that during a speech to students from public and private universities in Pakistan, General Munir stated that the security of Pakistanis should be prioritized and respected above all else.

He also sent a strong message to the Taliban, asserting that Pakistan is prepared to make any sacrifice necessary and urging them not to underestimate the country. Furthermore, General Munir emphasized that the safety and security of every Pakistani citizen are of utmost importance, even if it means holding Afghanistan accountable.

In his address, General Munir highlighted Pakistan’s long-standing support for Afghanistan, stating that the country has provided food aid to five million Afghanistani citizens for the past 50 years. However, he made it clear that when it comes to protecting Pakistani children, those who pose a threat will be pursued and held responsible.

General Munir also accused the Taliban of supporting rebels in Balochistan and criticized Pakistan’s western neighbor for its lack of friendship with Pakistan. These statements were made against the backdrop of deteriorating relations between the Taliban and Pakistan, primarily due to the presence of terrorist groups like the TTP in Afghanistan.

While the Taliban group has consistently denied these allegations and claimed that they will not allow Afghanistan to be used as a base for attacks against any country, General Munir’s remarks reflect the growing tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban. The Chief of Staff’s strong stance on prioritizing the safety of Pakistani citizens and holding those who threaten it accountable underscores the seriousness of the situation.
