RASC News Agency: “Vedant Patel, Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, recently addressed the Taliban’s actions towards Afghanistani women, underscoring that these activities are evolving into a significant concern for the United States. Mr. Patel conveyed these statements yesterday, on January 22nd, and added that measures have been instituted to obstruct the Taliban’s access to humanitarian aid from the United States.
The Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State reiterated that the Taliban aspires to attain global recognition while concurrently engaging in actions deemed unacceptable by the United States. According to Mr. Patel, the U.S. endeavors to hinder the Taliban’s access to both humanitarian assistance and financial contributions from American taxpayers. He remarked, ‘Actions and measures have been implemented to ensure that America’s humanitarian aid remains beyond the reach of the Taliban.’ He emphasized, ‘The U.S. government maintains close ties with its dependable institutions in Afghanistan and is assured that the Taliban will not gain access to funds from American taxpayers.’
The United Nations declared that funds contributed globally to the organization are securely held in its private accounts, impervious to the Taliban. Nonetheless, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) previously articulated that the Taliban employs diverse methods, including the establishment of aid organizations, to facilitate their access to international assistance. Furthermore, the Taliban has faced accusations from this agency of interfering in aid delivery and exploiting projects for their own gain.”
