RASC News Agency: Quoting local sources in the province of Baghlan, we continue to witness targeted and enigmatic killings spanning various provinces of the nation. The lifeless body of a former military officer was recently discovered in the central city of Pul-e Khumri within this province. Sources conveyed to the media on Sunday, January 21, revealing that this former military dignitary went by the name Sardar Mohammad and was apprehended by the Taliban group two months ago. However, his remains were only found yesterday in Pul-e Khumri.

As per the information provided, Sardar Mohammad held the position of commander in a specialized forces unit within the former army, specifically operating in the province of Baghlan. The local Taliban group authorities in Baghlan province have yet to issue a statement regarding this incident. This development comes to light at a juncture where, despite the Taliban faction’s consolidated control over the nation and the group leader’s proclamation of a general amnesty, they persistently face accusations of executing hundreds of former military personnel in diverse provinces.

In the most recent occurrence, the Taliban group apprehended a former military officer named Abdul Azim, a resident of Panjshir province, in Kabul, subsequently transferring him to their Intelligence Agency (Number 40). It is noteworthy that post their seizure of the country, the Taliban group have frequently exhibited markedly hostile and retaliatory conduct towards former military personnel and individuals who served in the previous regime.
