RASC News Agency: Recent reports from Kabul province reveal that the Taliban group’s intelligence forces have once again conducted arbitrary arrests of citizens. This time, they apprehended Abdul Hakim Hekmatyar, a dentist in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of the province. Engaged in cultural and social work, Hekmatyar owned a private clinic in the same locality. These arrests by the Taliban group raise concerns as they act with impunity, disregarding any accountability for their violent actions against civilians.
On Sunday, January 21st, the media received information about the arrest of Abdul Hakim Hekmatyar, a dentist residing in the 13th district of Kabul city. The Taliban group’s intelligence forces were responsible for this arbitrary arrest, adding to the growing list of citizens who have fallen victim to their oppressive tactics. The Taliban’s actions, carried out under various pretexts, have led to the imprisonment, torture, and even death of numerous individuals.
The Taliban group’s relentless campaign of arbitrary arrests and violence against civilians continues unabated. In the most recent case, they targeted Mohammad Taqi Paikar, a resident of Behsud district in Maidan Wardak province. Paikar was accused of collaborating with Ali Poor, a former commander, and subsequently subjected to torture by the Taliban members.
It is alarming to note that the group operates outside any institutional or individual oversight, allowing them to act with impunity. Despite facing criticism, the Taliban persists in their oppressive actions, using various pretexts to justify their brutal behavior towards innocent citizens.
