RASC News Agency: Citing local sources from the province of Maidan Wardak, it has been reported that a recent traffic incident within the vicinity of this province resulted in the loss of three lives and injuries to two others. Sources from Maidan Wardak conveyed to the media on Tuesday, January 16, that this incident transpired last night in the vicinity of the “Qalai Aziz” area in the Seyyed Abad county of this province.

This traffic incident unfolded as a consequence of a collision involving a Corolla and a cargo truck, leading to five casualties and injuries. According to sources, the victims of this lamentable incident were occupants of the Corolla, en route to Ghazni province. Simultaneously, a source from the provincial hospital in Ghazni reported that the condition of the injured individuals is critical. The cause of this traffic incident is ascribed to the driver’s negligence and the excessive speed of the Corolla sedan.

This occurs at a juncture when, of late, the statistics of traffic incidents have witnessed an escalation in various provinces of the country, attributable to various factors. In a preceding traffic incident, four individuals lost their lives or sustained injuries in the Arghandakh district of Badakhshan province. Driver negligence, non-compliance with traffic laws, road deficiencies, and excessive speed are posited among the factors contributing to the incidence of traffic incidents in the country.
