RASC News Agency: According to reports from the British media, Jan Ghulami, a 33-year-old Afghanistani immigrant, has been pronounced guilty in the 2020 murder case of his two-year-old daughter, Zahra Ghulami. Jan and his 32-year-old wife, Roqia Ghulami, adopted Zahra from Afghanistan. Tragically, Zahra suffered a severe head injury on May 27, 2020, succumbing to her injuries two days later while under medical care in a London hospital.

In addition to the murder charge, Jan Ghulami faces a conviction for “cruelty to a person under 16 years of age.” The sentencing is slated for February 16. Simultaneously, Roqia Ghulami has been found guilty of “cruelty to a person under 16 years of age,” with the jury yet to reach a verdict on her case. The court presented compelling evidence contradicting Jan Ghulami’s alibi, revealing that Zahra’s head was forcibly struck against a wall.

Throughout the court proceedings, Zahra emerged as a vibrant and inquisitive child, eagerly exploring the world around her. Unfortunately, her formative years were marred by the violence inflicted upon her by Jan, the individual entrusted with her well-being. Ross Gordon, the chief investigating officer, expressed his dismay, highlighting Zahra’s truncated journey through school and life, overshadowed by the cruelty perpetrated by the very person responsible for her care.
