RASC News Agency: In recent reports from Kabul and Badakhshan provinces, it has been revealed that two men fell victim to separate incidents of homicide, further contributing to the escalating wave of criminal offenses across the country. On Tuesday, January 9th, sources from Kabul Province apprised the media that an individual named “Hussain” met a fatal attack by unknown assailants wielding knives in the “Omid Sabz Town” area on Saturday evening.

Likewise, in Badakhshan province, sources confirm that a man named “Ahmad Jawid” disappeared after receiving a phone call, and three days later, his lifeless body was discovered in a field. These incidents unfolded in the Keshem district, and while the exact motives, causes, and culprits remain unidentified, it is unmistakable that criminal activities, particularly targeted murders, armed robberies, and kidnappings, have surged across the country since the Taliban assumed control.

In a preceding incident, unidentified individuals threw a grenade at the residence of a Taliban official in Nangarhar province’s Hesarak district, resulting in the demise of his four children and injuries to his wife. Sources indicate that the Taliban group has been implicated in numerous cases where they have falsely attributed killings and looting to unknown individuals and armed robbers. This alarming trend underscores the imperative for swift and effective measures to address the escalating crime rates and ensure the safety and security of the people.

The lack of clarity regarding the motives, causes, and perpetrators of these recent incidents is a cause for concern. As criminal activities persistently afflict various parts of the country, it is paramount for authorities to heighten their efforts in investigating and apprehending those responsible. The surge in criminal offenses not only poses a threat to the lives and well-being of individuals but also undermines the overall stability and security of the nation.
