RASC News Agency: Local sources in Badakhshan province have reported that the governor’s office of the Taliban group in the province experienced a rocket attack, leading to injuries for two Taliban members. The incident took place on Tuesday, January 2nd, around 11:30 p.m. in Faizabad, the provincial center. Sources have disclosed that a rocket hit the entrance gate of the “Badakhshan Provincial Office.” Following the attack, two Taliban members sustained injuries and were subsequently transported to the Badakhshan provincial hospital, as confirmed by hospital sources. Additionally, it has been reported that the Taliban group responded by firing multiple shots in the vicinity of Faizabad city.

No further information has been provided regarding the impact of the rockets launched by the Taliban group in the vicinity of Faizabad, the central city of Badakhshan province. The Taliban group in Badakhshan province has remained silent about this incident, despite recent reports of covert operations and offensive attacks against their positions.

It is crucial to note that while no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the rocket attack on the governor’s office of the Taliban group in Badakhshan, previous incidents have seen groups like the National Resistance and the Freedom Front taking responsibility for similar attacks on Taliban positions. In the most recent case, the National Resistance Front announced that their forces targeted a military vehicle belonging to the Taliban group in Kunduz province, resulting in the death of one Taliban member and injuries to two others.
