RASC News Agency: According to local reports from Herat province, a recent traffic incident in the region resulted in four casualties and injuries. Sources from Herat province relayed to the media on Tuesday, January 2nd, that this incident occurred yesterday as a Saracha-type vehicle overturned in the “Doughi” area of the Kashk Robat-Sangi district in this province. As per the sources, one man lost his life, and three others sustained injuries in the aftermath of this traffic incident. However, no information has been disclosed regarding the health status of the injured individuals.
Simultaneously, the Taliban’s security command in Herat province, while confirming the news, declared that the deceased individual in this traffic incident was the car driver, and the driver’s own recklessness has been identified as the cause of this occurrence. This situation arises as traffic incidents have previously resulted in casualties among citizens, including women and children, across various provinces of the country, leading to injuries and disabilities. It is noteworthy that factors such as driver recklessness, road defects, non-compliance with traffic laws, and the absence of regular transportation routes occasionally contribute to traffic incidents in the country.
In the most recent traffic incident, a high-speed vehicle on the Ghor-Kabul highway reportedly veered off course and overturned due to excessive speed, resulting in the loss of life for a woman and a man and injuries to three others. It is worth mentioning that citizens in certain provinces of the country have consistently expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of standardized transportation routes and the authorities’ negligence in this sector. However, they assert that officials have yet to address these concerns.
