RASC News Agency: Ali Maisan Nazary, the Chief of Foreign Relations for the National Resistance Front, recently affirmed that endorsing any form of engagement with the “Taliban terrorist group,” an entity sanctioned by the United Nations, has yielded no positive results in recent years. The Chief of Foreign Relations for the National Resistance Front under the leadership of Ahmad Massoud conveyed this message on December 29th, through a statement on the social media platform X. He emphasized that unless pressures lead to the complete isolation of the “Taliban terrorists,” achieving peaceful progress towards Afghanistan will be an insurmountable challenge.

Mr. Nazary, in reference to a recent Security Council resolution on Afghanistan, stated, “An evaluation or resolution that overlooks many on-the-ground realities and the will of the Afghanistani people, how impactful can it be?” This senior official of the National Resistance Front emphasized that Afghanistan should not serve as a geopolitical stage for regional and international powers to exert influence and normalize a terrorist group aimed at suppressing the country. The National Resistance Front reiterated that ending these double standards and focusing on the welfare and rights of the Afghanistani people are crucial and should not be disregarded in any circumstance.

It is noteworthy that the United Nations Security Council announced on December 29th, that the council has approved a new resolution on Afghanistan with 13 in favor and two abstentions from Russia and China. These remarks come at a time when the Taliban, during their two-year dominance over the country, have implemented restrictive, oppressive, and stringent measures, impeding the nation’s growth at a sluggish pace.
