RASC News Agency: The Pakistani media has extensively covered the coerced expulsion of Afghanistani immigrants from Pakistan. According to a report from Radio Pakistan, the process of deporting undocumented immigrants, including Afghanistani citizens, is being executed with dignity and safety. The media reports that 446,097 immigrants lacking legal documentation have been deported and repatriated to their countries since the inception of this process. On December 23rd, 1,159 Afghanistani refugees were deported from Pakistan and repatriated to their homeland in a single day. This continuous deportation has raised concerns about the well-being of these immigrants upon their return to Afghanistan.
The forced deportation of Afghanistani immigrants from Pakistan has garnered significant attention both domestically and internationally. Various international institutions and authorities have expressed their apprehension regarding the plight of these immigrants. The United Nations has reported that over 1.4 million Afghanistani individuals lacking residence permits have been impacted by this unjust expulsion.
This action not only places these individuals at risk of human rights violations but also jeopardizes human rights defenders, civil society activists, journalists, and former government officials. The United Nations has articulated its concerns about the potential consequences faced by Afghanistani migrants, including arbitrary detention, torture, and other inhumane treatment at the hands of the Taliban.
Simultaneously, both Iran and Turkey are expelling Afghanistani asylum seekers, further exacerbating concerns in the country due to the substantial number of repatriated refugees. The Taliban group lacks the capacity to accommodate these individuals, leaving the repatriated refugees to grapple with numerous challenges.
