RASC News Agency: Local Taliban officials have announced the forthcoming organization of a collaborative exhibition uniting Afghanistani and Turkmen traders. According to a Bakhtar News report released on the X social media platform on Sunday, December 24th, under the management of the Taliban-led southwest, Haji Fazl Mohammad Saber, the Taliban’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, engaged in discussions with selected traders in the Kandahar province. Operating under Taliban supervision, Bakhtar News reported, citing Mr. Saber, that a joint goods exhibition is scheduled to take place soon in Turkmenistan.

This Taliban representative highlights that, in conjunction with the organization of this trade exhibition in Turkmenistan, Afghanistani traders will also have the opportunity to participate. The Ambassador of Afghanistan under the Taliban’s governance in Turkmenistan stressed that initiatives have been launched to streamline visa processes for Afghanistani traders attending the exhibition. While Taliban authorities declare the arrangement of this exhibition, traders continue to face myriad challenges and difficulties under the Taliban’s governance in Afghanistan.

Earlier reports from this group indicated that the cessation of commercial container traffic by Pakistan has inflicted substantial losses on these traders, potentially posing a threat to the nation’s economy. It is crucial to note that following the Taliban’s assumption of power, economic hardships among citizens have markedly escalated for diverse reasons, prompting a significant number of individuals to travel to neighboring countries. Reports indicate that as of now, Taliban authorities have not implemented effective measures to address these economic challenges.
