RASC News Agency: In a disconcerting development, reports from Nangarhar confirm that the Taliban group has once again tightened its grip on the country’s populace. This time, the group has detained nine students from Roshan Private University for the audacity of playing the national anthem in the province. According to sources, these students have been held captive by the Taliban for three days.

The apprehension of these students unfolded during a meeting, where the Taliban’s intelligence forces seized them and subsequently transferred them to prison. Additionally, it has been reported that an undisclosed number of employees from the same university have also fallen prey to Taliban detention. Neither the Taliban group nor officials from the private university have issued any statements concerning these arrests.

It is crucial to emphasize that the Taliban’s repressive regime has consistently imposed numerous restrictions on the country’s citizens since assuming power. These restrictions, which appear to multiply with each passing day, encompass a ban on displaying the national tricolor flag and using the country’s national anthem. The arrest of these students for playing the national anthem serves as another stark illustration of the Taliban’s iron-fisted control over the people, curtailing their freedom and quashing any form of dissent.
