RASC News Agency: The Prosecutor of Hamedan recently issued a robust statement concerning the employment of Afghanistani citizens in Iran. Emphasizing the imperative to safeguard the rights of Iranian citizens, he cautioned that entities opting for foreign nationals over Iranian workers would incur punitive measures. According to an IRNA report, the prosecutor underscored the adverse repercussions of hosting foreign citizens, including heightened criminality, violence, societal harm, and economic threats.

Specifically, he highlighted the illicit employment of foreign workers by certain employers and the Housing Foundation, underscoring its criminal nature. The prosecutor emphasized that such practices run counter to the policies of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and the nation’s macroeconomics, detrimentally impacting job opportunities for Iranian citizens. He called for legislative amendments to address the issue, warning that regulatory authorities would take decisive action against production units prioritizing their interests over the employment of Iranians.

Despite the formidable challenges faced by Afghanistani immigrants in Iran, grappling with severe livelihood and employment obstacles, the prosecutor’s statement signifies the government’s steadfast commitment to prioritizing the employment of Iranian citizens. The Prosecutor’s Office in Hamedan province adopts a resolute stance against the utilization of foreign workers, particularly by employers and the Housing Foundation.

Advocating for legal revisions to tackle the matter, the prosecutor cautioned that regulatory authorities would vigilantly oversee production units neglecting the employment of Iranian workers. This proclamation underscores the government’s unwavering dedication to safeguarding the rights and interests of its citizens.
