RASC News Agency: Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, recently asserted the necessity for educational content aimed at Afghanistani women to align with the “Islamic and Pashtun” perspective. During a meeting on Thursday, December 8th, with Jane Marriott, the British Ambassador to Islamabad, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman stated, “The Taliban group is shaping the educational environment in accordance with Pashtun and Islamic views, and we endorse women’s education aligned with Islamic and Pashtun perspectives.”

As a staunch supporter of the Taliban group, he expressed satisfaction with the expansion and enhancement of peace under the Taliban Group’s dominance in Afghanistan. Proposing further action, he stated, “I suggest that, in addition to establishing peace, we seek solutions for other problems in Afghanistan.” According to reports, often referred to as the “spiritual father of the Taliban group,” Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman emphasized “enhancing global brotherhood with Afghanistan” during the meeting with the British Ambassador, highlighting the need for mutual understanding to address the country’s challenges.

It is noteworthy that Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, a prominent Taliban group supporter, has consistently called on the world to recognize the Taliban group. Despite more than two years of the Taliban’s control over Afghanistan, no country has officially acknowledged the group. It should be mentioned that following the Taliban’s takeover, the group prohibited girls above the sixth grade from attending school and closed university doors to women. Reports indicate a significant emphasis by the Taliban group on religious schools.
