RASC News Agency: Mahtab Eftekhari, a prominent women’s rights activist in Afghanistan, delivered a message to the Taliban group through a video, asserting that no amount of torture will silence them. Ms. Eftekhari disseminated this video message on Monday, November 27, via social media, articulating her protest against the Taliban group. Amidst her remarks, Ms. Eftekhari underscored that the voices of Afghanistani women protesters echo the collective voice of all women deprived of the right to work and education, now confined to their homes in fear of the Taliban.

This development occurs as the Taliban group, during their two-year tenure in Afghanistan, persistently targeted women protesters, subjecting them to arrests, imprisonment, torture, and, in some cases, fatalities. Notably, Manizha Sadiqi, Julia Parsi, Neda Parwani, Parisa Azadeh, and Baharah Karimi are among the five women detained by the Taliban group in Kabul province in the last two months. Currently, with the exception of Ms. Karimi, the others remain incarcerated in the group’s prisons. Despite widespread international calls urging the Taliban group to cease the arrest of women protesters, they persist in such actions.

It is essential to note that no information regarding the well-being of women protesters in the custody of the Taliban group has been disclosed to the media. Furthermore, the group prohibits their close associates from meeting them. It is noteworthy that, due to the pervasive fear of the Taliban, numerous women’s rights activists have fled the country, seeking refuge in neighboring nations like Iran and Pakistan with the aspiration of reaching European countries.
