RASC News Agency: According to sources in Nangarhar province, an unidentified group of individuals has murdered a prosecutor from the previous government and his sister. The media was informed on November 22nd that the body of the former prosecutor was buried in the Paktia Kot area, located in the 9th district of Kabul city.
The sources revealed that unknown assailants killed the prosecutor, Naqi Mohammad Taqi, and his sister under mysterious circumstances. Gul Wais Taqi, the son of the deceased prosecutor, who had fled to Iran after the Taliban takeover, has confirmed the news of his father and aunt’s murder. He informed the media that his father had been invited to Jalalabad on November 16th under the pretext of attending a party organized by prominent individuals. The bodies of the victims were discovered five days later in a house in the Behsud district of Nangarhar province.
Naqi Mohammad Taqi had previously served as a prosecutor in the crime department of the Attorney General’s office under the previous government. It is worth noting that the Taliban group in Nangarhar province has not yet made any statements regarding this incident. Meanwhile, Jamshid Rasoli, the former spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office of the previous government, confirmed the incident through a message on social media platform X. He stated that unknown individuals on the Kabul-Jalalabad route killed the prosecutor and his sister.
Rasoli also mentioned that the son of the former government prosecutor, who worked as a defense lawyer, had died in a “terrorist” attack in Maidan Wardak province. These incidents add to the growing number of mysterious killings of former government employees across the country, with many people pointing fingers at the Taliban group for their involvement in such acts.
