RASC News Agency: In the wake of numerous statements regarding the involvement of Afghanistani citizens in recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan, Hafiz Mehmood Tahir Ashrafi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, has recently stated that Pakistan has implemented a plan for the forced expulsion of Afghanistani refugees in order to ensure the security of the country. On Sunday, November 19th, in an exclusive interview with the Associated Press of Pakistan, the Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council raised this issue and further added that a significant number of Afghanistani citizens have been involved in carrying out recent terrorist attacks within Pakistan.
He expressed support for the process of forcibly expelling undocumented Afghanistani migrants from Pakistan, stating that this plan has been implemented to prevent the escalation of terrorist attacks within Pakistani territory. Moreover, the Pakistani official stated that Pakistan is currently in contact with the Taliban and a delegation from the group is currently engaged in discussions with Pakistani authorities.
This comes after several Pakistani officials had previously accused Afghanistani citizens of being involved in recent terrorist attacks against the Pakistani army in the country.
It should be noted that Pakistan implemented a month-long universal plan in which Afghanistani migrants without proper documentation are being expelled from the country.
It is worth mentioning that, following the expiration of the deadline set by Pakistan, according to United Nations statistics, more than 300,000 Afghanistani migrants have been expelled from Pakistan and forcibly returned to Afghanistan.
