RASC News Agency: According to international media reports, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, has traveled to Kazakhstan in order to hold talks with his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and sign agreements.
Based on the report published by the TASS news agency on Thursday, November 9, it is possible that Putin’s meeting and dialogue with Toqayev will take place at the Akorda state residence.
The topics that Tokayev and Putin are expected to discuss and exchange views on during this meeting will include prospects for bilateral cooperation, international developments, and challenges.
Reports indicate that during this meeting, Putin and Tokayev will also participate in the Central Asia-Russia format and the 19th Plenary Session of the Interregional Cooperation Forum between Moscow and Astana, titled “Agriculture as the Foundation of a Strong Economy” in Kostanay.
According to information available, this is said to be the fifth meeting between Putin and Toqayev, the two leaders of the two countries, during this year.
Meanwhile, prior to his trip to Astana, Putin expressed that the interaction between his country and the Central Asian countries is strengthening, stating, “This interaction can benefit all stakeholders from joint efforts.”
In an interview with the Kazakhstani newspaper “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda,” Putin discussed the benefits of cooperation between Central Asian countries, saying, “The integration tendencies in the Central Asian region are growing.”
While the Central Asia-Russia format is being held, Western attention, including the United States and the European Union, to the region is also significantly increasing, and China actively claims the role of a key partner in Central Asia.
