RASC News Agency: In a press briefing held on Saturday, October 21st, Hafiz Rashid Helmandi, the head of information and culture for the Taliban group in Helmand province, disclosed an incident that took place earlier in the day on the Kandahar-Herat highway. The clash occurred in the Babaji district of the province, marking a significant development.

As reported by Helmandi, Taliban forces encountered a group of individuals engaged in armed robbery along the highway. The ensuing combat led to the elimination of two armed robbers, putting an end to their unlawful activities.

Helmandi further stated that this confrontation resulted in the loss of lives for two thieves, while another suspect was successfully apprehended by the vigilant members of the Taliban group in Helmand province. In addition to thwarting the robbery attempt, the group managed to confiscate a weapon and a vehicle from the criminals. Helmandi expressed the commitment of the Taliban group to continue actively pursuing the arrest of other thieves involved in such activities. Nevertheless, recent reports indicate a sharp increase in criminal acts, particularly armed robberies, across various regions, with the Taliban’s control over the country partially responsible for these alarming trends.

Naturally, these events have raised concerns among the Afghanistani citizens. Experts assert that the involvement of Taliban members is often observed in various criminal activities, including armed robberies, mysterious murders, and kidnappings.

It is crucial to emphasize that despite the Taliban group’s claims to ensure complete security in the provinces under their control, regular reports continue to surface regarding a notable surge in criminal incidents across different regions of the nation. Regrettably, rather than fostering a secure and prosperous community for its citizens, the Taliban group has introduced policies and regulations that curtail the freedom of the Afghanistani people.
