RASC News Agency: Local sources in Ghor province have confirmed that a tragic incident occurred in Dawlatyar district, resulting in the loss of four lives due to a mountain slide. On October 20th, in the village of “Laka Mazar,” the victims, including two adult men and two children, were engaged in the construction of their residence when the unfortunate incident occurred. It is worth noting that similar occurrences leading to fatalities and injuries have been observed across various provinces in the country, including Ghor province.
A recent incident in Badakhshan province poignantly exemplifies the consequences that can arise from negligence and inadequate infrastructure. In this case, the collapse of a bridge due to a lack of proper facilities and disregard for safety measures led to the untimely death of four young girls.
It is of utmost importance to highlight that people’s indifference and the lack of standard construction practices for houses in various provinces can result in significant injuries and financial losses. This reality becomes particularly evident following natural disasters, such as the recent earthquake in Herat province. This event claimed thousands of lives, left thousands injured, and rendered thousands more homeless.
Furthermore, we must acknowledge that the repeated occurrence of earthquakes in Herat province has not only caused loss of life and financial damage but has also dealt a significant blow to historical monuments. These heritage structures now require extensive repairs to restore their cultural and historical significance.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that certain districts, notably Karkuh, Zinda Jan, and Jibrail, have been particularly devastated by these earthquakes. These areas have suffered severe damage and complete destruction, exacerbating the overall impact on the affected communities.
