RASC News Agency: The representative of the United Arab Emirates in the United Nations said in the Security Council meeting that the economic crisis in Afghanistan has caused the situation of women and girls in this country to worsen every day.

He said that forced underage marriages in Afghanistan have reached more than 80,000 cases and warned the world that women and girls in Afghanistan have the worst situation in the world.

The United Nations has also reported that child marriage and child labor have increased due to the Taliban’s restrictions.

The executive director of the UN Women’s Office stated that Afghanistani women, like other women in the world, want to study and create a good future for them; but the restrictions imposed in their country prevent them.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Taliban group considered the issue of women’s rights as a small and deviant issue, while the international community always wants to respect their rights.

It should be mentioned that with the Taliban group attacking Afghanistan, the situation of women and girls in this country is worrying.

Closing the gates of universities to girls, closing the gates of schools to girls above the sixth grade, taking the right to work in government and non-government offices from them, underage and forced marriages are some of the major challenges faced by Afghanistani women.
