RASC News Agency: At the same time as the two-year anniversary of the ban on the education of girls above the sixth grade by the Taliban group, Amnesty International has announced that this action of the Taliban group has endangered the future and dreams of thousands of girls.
On Monday, September 18, Amnesty International wrote in a message on X social media that millions of girls from 2001 to 2021, who each dreamed of becoming a doctor, teacher, journalist, scientist and expert in their field, were busy studying and education in schools.
This institution said that although it has been two years since restrictions and bans were imposed on the education of Afghanistani girls, this situation persists.
This institution added that Afghanistan is currently known as the only country in the world where girls above the sixth grade do not have the right to education; this situation has forced girls to stay at home.
Amnesty International added that despite their promises, the Taliban group has continued to deprive girls of their right to education, study, work and sexual harassment.
This institution called for immediate action to reopen schools for girls and said that the Taliban group should be held accountable for depriving girls of the right to education.
This institution had previously said in a report that in Afghanistan, under the control of the Taliban group, the ideals and aspirations of Afghanistani girls are disappearing.
It should be mentioned that after the Taliban took control of the country, they closed schools for girls above the sixth grade.
