RASC News Agency: According to public sources from Faryab province, a 23-year-old youth in Andkhoi district of this province hanged himself and ended his life.

Sources told the media today, Tuesday, September 12, that this young man hanged himself on Sunday, September 10, inside his house located in Mershkarkhana village in Andkhoi district.

According to sources, this young boy was named Timor Shah and was 23 years old. Sources added that the cause and motive of this young man’s suicide has not been determined yet.

This is despite the fact that recently the number of suicides has increased in different provinces of the country.

In the latest case, three days ago, an 18-year-old boy hanged himself in Kohistanat district of Sare-Pol province and ended his life.

At the same time, according to experts, there is violence in families due to the fact that there is no decisive and comprehensive support for teenagers in families, and the family’s expectations from teenagers are high. When they cannot fulfill the young people’s wishes, they feel little and despair, then commit suicide.

According to them, launching sports and recreational programs for teenagers, dealing with mental illnesses, reducing violence, eliminating the custom of forced marriages and creating job opportunities can be effective and useful in reducing youth suicide.

According to the United Nations survey, after the domination of the Taliban group in Afghanistan, poverty and unemployment have increased unprecedentedly, and more than 28 million people need urgent and humanitarian aid.
