RASC News Agency: The local officials of the Taliban group for Sare-Pol province confirm that the forces of this group arrested a man from the province for murdering his wife.
The press office of the Taliban group’s police command for Sare-Pol province announced on Monday, September 11 in a newsletter that a man was arrested on the charge of murdering his wife in this province.
In a newsletter of this office, it is stated that the arrested man’s name is Noor Mohammad and he is a resident of Deh-Mianeh village, Al-Fath district, Sare-Pol province.
It is said that he was accused in the case of his wife’s murder in 2018. At that time, after committing the crime, he fled to the neighboring country of Iran and was living there.
Based on the newsletter; after he returned to Sare-Pol from Iran, this person was wanted by Taliban forces and was finally arrested from Sare-Pol Civilians Hospital.
The police newsletter of the Taliban group in Sare-Pol province has written that this person killed his wife on the charge of illicit relations with another man.
It should be mentioned that based on the information of the arrested person’s file, it will be handed over to judicial bodies after investigation.
This is despite the fact that this is not the first family killing in Sare-Pol and reports indicate that there are high numbers of honor killings in some neighborhoods of Sare-Pol and the families destroy them without the accused being brought to court.
Human rights institutions and international organizations have always expressed concern about the incidents of honor killings and the increase in violence against women in different parts of the country.
