RASC News Agency: The local officials of the Taliban group in Balkh province in northern Afghanistan confirm that the forces of this group have arrested a young girl from the province for selling alcohol and drugs.
The Taliban police command for Balkh province said in a press release today (Saturday, September 9) that the Taliban have arrested a young girl on charges of selling alcohol and drugs.
According to this newsletter, this young girl is 18 years old and a resident of Mazar-Sharif city, who was arrested with 20 liters of wine (foreign alcoholic beverages and drugs).
The news source pointed out that this woman is being investigated in the women’s prison of Balkh province and after the investigations are completed; her case will be sent to the judicial organs to issue a verdict.
It has not yet been determined where this woman got the alcoholic beverages (wine), which the Taliban reported as foreign wine, and where she intended to transfer it.
It should be mentioned that at the same time as the Taliban group came to power in Afghanistan, drug and alcohol smuggling has increased in an unprecedented way in the country.
It should be noted that a few days ago, the Taliban arrested three residents of Balkh province in Mazar-e-Sharif on charges of drinking alcohol.
Although the Taliban claim that they are committed against the cultivation, planting and smuggling of drugs and alcohol, but reports from Balkh province show that this group has failed in the fight against drugs and they have not been able to act properly in this matter.
